Data is processed within a secure cloud storage location to minimize risk. However, the platform will only collect data based on the artists and podcasters upon joining. The platform will only collect the following pieces of information: Email address, first name, and date of birth. This includes media submitted by musicians and podcasters.
Data is collected for an explicit purpose and destroyed upon termination. The collection of musicians & podcasters' data has been given an explicit purpose, both in this document and in the communication to the musicians & podcasters. Data will be used solely for the outlined purpose when joining the platform as a creator.
Further processing of data to align with the original purpose. Processing of any data or digital IP (e.g., artwork, graphics, or photographs) adheres to the purpose specification, as it supports the creators (musicians & podcasters). Creators (musicians & podcasters) are notified of The Red Vinyl's further processing and security through formal consent. Data can and will be deleted from The Red Vinyl once a creator (musicians & podcasters) leaves or is terminated from the platform.
Data will be collected and stored carefully and not shared with anyone else.
The creators (musicians & podcasters) have been informed upon joining the platform about the platform's purpose, the identity of The Red Vinyl, its founder, and the option to leave at any time. They are also informed about the impact of POPI and how the data and media are processed within the platform.
Data must be given adequate security safeguards, based on an informed assessment. The Red Vinyl employs best-practice security for its data. Data and media will be moved into The Red Vinyl Google, EliteHost, and Atlassian servers, which have been created for the purpose of this platform. Security measures are constantly reviewed to stay within standards.
The rights of the creator (musicians & podcasters) to access stored media and
data records and edit their contents.
