Introduction

These terms outline the terms of service provided by The Red Vinyl Collective, "TRVC". Please carefully read these terms and conditions before continuing to use our Collective. By using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

It is important to note that these terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a creator.

Definitions

To help make these terms clear and easy to navigate, the following definitions apply throughout this document:

"The Red Vinyl Collective", "TRVC", "We", "Us", or "Our" refers to The Red Vinyl Collective, an online music collective and creator community.
"Member" refers to any independent artist, musician, podcaster, or content creator who has successfully completed the onboarding process, maintains an active profile on our platform, and agrees to abide by these terms.
"Collective" refers to The Red Vinyl Collective website, online channels, member newsletters, and associated digital spaces managed by the collective.
"Reverb" refers to any voluntary program or organic connection facilitated by TRVC that links members together to co-create artistic, promotional, or technical projects.
"Content" refers to any media, audio, artwork, text, profile information, or promotional materials submitted by a creator to the collective.

Use of the Service

By using our collective and services, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree to the following terms, please do not continue with the onboarding process or continued use. We may change these terms by emailing the member with the updates. Please review these terms regularly to stay informed of any changes made by The Red Vinyl Collective. Your continued use of our platform after changes are posted implies your agreement to the updated and/or amended terms.

You also agree not to adapt, alter, or create a derivative work with "The Red Vinyl Collective" branding unless approved by collective management. Links on our site or social media pages may lead to other websites. The Red Vinyl does not accept responsibility for the content, accuracy, or function of such websites, nor does The Red Vinyl Collective endorse the contents of those sites.

Signing up as a creator

The Red Vinyl Collective will not sell or redistribute any information or media submitted by the member. This information is used to create a demographic profile and to maintain communication with you as a member.

Additionally, any media submitted to us will be used to promote you as a member. In this regard, the member will need to approve the format used to ensure that their vision is accurately portrayed on the collective.

We are not responsible for any data loss during membership or any losses that the member may experience during their creative journey on the collective.

Please note that we reserve the right to decline or cancel a membership at any time. We cannot guarantee an increase in followers on your social media pages, nor are we responsible for any changes that may occur during your time with us on the collective, including a loss of following or a band break-up.

Content Disclaimer

Content marketed on the collective is screened to meet our content standards, which are in place to protect the platform as a family-friendly environment. The content should not have any age restrictions, and the covers and titles should be appropriate.

Any content submitted to our platform is stored on our secure server and is not sold or distributed to any third parties outside of the collective.

Services offered

The services provided to creators are designed and managed by The Red Vinyl Collective. Currently, being a member of the collective or having your content shared and posted on the collective is completely free. If this were to change in the future, existing members would continue to receive the free offering.

Additionally, the collective plans to introduce new services in the future, which will be offered at a charge.

Any updates and changes will be communicated to you, the creator, via email. This communication will be separate from the newsletter.

Booking details and Communication Disclaimer

As a member of The Red Vinyl Collective, your artist page on our website can include your booking contact information to help people reach out to you directly for opportunities, if opted in. That means:

You’re in control. Your booking email will only be added to your profile if you request it or explicitly agree to it. You’re fully responsible for managing any inquiries, communications, and agreements that come through that contact information.
We’re not your agent. The Collective does not act as your manager, agent, or legal representative unless we’ve made a specific written agreement to do so. All bookings and related decisions are yours to make.
We’re not liable. The Collective is not responsible for any disputes, losses, cancellations, payment issues, or other problems arising from your direct interactions with third parties who contact you through your listed email.
Keep it current. If your contact info changes or you want it removed from your page at any time, just let us know, and we’ll update it promptly via [email protected].

This approach is meant to empower you while also protecting both you and the Collective. We're here to support you, but your bookings and external engagements are fully in your hands.

Collaboration Program Disclaimer

At The Red Vinyl Collective, we believe some of the best art is born when creators connect. Exclusively available to active members of the collective, our collaborative initiative “Reverb” actively helps introduce and link members who are eager to co-create and work together. Participation is entirely optional, serving as a core way we build and strengthen our creative community together.

Because every creative partnership is unique, we want to ensure everyone enters these spaces with clarity, mutual respect, and shared understanding:

Exclusive Member Access: This collaboration program is offered strictly as a benefit to active members of The Red Vinyl Collective.
Creative Autonomy: While we love bringing people together, TRVC acts as a connector, not a party to your private projects. Any agreements, communications, or creative directions that emerge through member collaborations are entirely up to the participating individuals. You steer your own ship.
Mutual Trust and Due Diligence: We bring like-minded artists together, but we don’t formally vet or audit every member’s individual business practices. We encourage you to get to know your collaborators and establish clear expectations before diving into joint projects.
Protecting Each Other's Work: You and your collaborators are solely responsible for outlining how your shared intellectual property, rights, and creative output will be handled. TRVC is not responsible for mediating artistic or financial disagreements, so clear communication from day one is key.
Our Commitment to Promotion: When you team up with other members, The Red Vinyl Collective is here to champion your work. We actively support and promote member collaborations across our platform, newsletters, and social channels, ensuring your joint projects get the visibility they deserve (subject to mutual approval of the promotional format to protect your creative vision).
Keeping Our Space Safe: Our collaboration initiatives are built on trust, respect, and professional courtesy. While we want everyone to thrive, we have a zero-tolerance policy for harmful, abusive, or bad-faith behaviour. TRVC reserves the right to step in, review reported actions, and remove individuals from collaborative programs if they compromise the safety and well-being of our community.
Shared Accountability: TRVC, its organisers, and affiliates cannot be held liable for losses, disputes, or outcomes arising from independent member collaborations.

By stepping into our collaboration spaces, you are agreeing to look out for one another, communicate openly, and help us keep this community a safe, inspiring space to create.

Leaving the platform

We understand that circumstances change, and if you wish to leave the platform for any reason, you are welcome to email [email protected] and request termination. Once termination is accepted, all data collected from your joining will be deleted.

At The Red Vinyl, we value all creators. If you feel that we have not met your expectations or if there are any issues, please contact us at [email protected].

If you, as a creator, enter a period of no releases or posting on social media, your profile on our platform will enter a dormant state. It will be reactivated once you resume activity or if you have been in touch with us regarding your journey.
